So I want to share some
trader wisdom I've acquired
thru the years with you really
quick...
Last week, MRNA was the number
1 search term across America on Google.
NUMBER 1! Why? Well, it's a combination
of there being tons of new traders in the market
and the company announcing positive "news"
about their very young vaccine trial for the virus.
The stock opened up around $85 per share that morning,
a huge gap from the previous day's closing price of $67.
To the moon, right? WRONG.
This was a classic "bag job" by the company to suck in newbie
investors. Within 48 hours, the company announced a huge
dilutive offering of shares that has since pressured shares
down into the 51's.
All those who bought the hype last week? They've been
bagged. I'm sure many of them will hold the stock for
months, hoping that MRNA ends up being the co. that
discovers the best vaccine. We'll see how that works out
for them, but for now...they're bagholders.
I just wanted to share that with you today. :-)
So now you know what a "bag job" is.
